Perhaps one of the greatest benefits of making the switch to CNG is the immediate benefit of eliminating our dependence on foreign oil and reliance on governments and peoples hostile to the American way of life.
For Our Security
What was the single biggest story of summer 2008? If you ask that question to anybody that owned and drove a vehicle you will almost certainly receive the same resounding answer-The Price of Gasoline! At its worst point, oil prices...
“reached $140/barrel, America was spending about $700 billion for foreign oil, equaling the greatest transfer of wealth in human history. That figure has decreased some while oil prices have retreated, but the U.S. is still dependent on foreign nations for nearly 70 percent of its oil, representing a continuing national economic and national security threat.”

Clearly, if even the smallest percentage of the funds referred to above make it into the wrong hands or otherwise finds its way to those that wish us ill, the results could be dire. Converting to CNG could be the single greatest instrument in cutting off funding to hostile parties and governments.
CNG is a Domestic Option
The United States is the second largest producer and largest consumer of natural gas. Eighty-Five percent of the natural gas we use is domestically available with Canada, our friendly northern neighbor, supplying most of the balance.
Converting to safe, domestically available natural gas will get America well on the way to energy independence and providing the additional security we all seek.
When it comes to reducing fuel costs, protecting public health and the environment, and supporting U.S. energy independence, the choice is clear. CNG will set the U.S. free!
